Decisions, decisions, decisions

this guy has 15 240SX's for sale in the Miami area.
cant tell which one to get. he said he has a black kouki (I called) but the only dark color kouki I see looks kinda like teal.

but I'm still attached to the pignose, I can see a white one in the picture.
whatever car I do get, has to last me relatively problem free for 8 years.

any words of wisdom? will be greatly appreciated

not even a kouki? what if I dont turbo it?

dam, see I almost bot a new mazda 6 for 14,625$. but it wasn't for me. MSRP was over 20K, but it was not my kinda car.

I still like the RSX tho, there's a silver 2006 for 18,500$. but that means I'll have no money left over, and will have to finance, even tho my parents are helping me.

what kinda problems did you have? other than obvious rust or somethin like that?

yeh, but its FWD and lack of torque make a 240SX more appealing.

plus 18.5K is alot of money. I went down to miami acura and test drove a black 2006 RSX-S. it was nice but not 21K + tax and dealer charge nice.

it wud really suck if I got that silver one which is from a private seller, have warranty run out then get 2nd/3rd gear grinding. they wont fix it if its not under warranty

its hard to say what I'm leaning toward. if I were to get a pignose, it wud be SR20 swapped. that means putting trust into the site that I buy the engine from (jdmracingmotors.com) and the place that puts it in for me (Big Daddy performance center) for 800$.

on the other hand there's a kouki which I'd want to turbo. stock pistons will hold up to a T28 pushing 7PSI right? if so I'd take that route.

but for sake of a nice car AND reliabilty RSX is considered.

if you are looking for an s14 kouki you really can't be picky or you will never find what you want. I found that out the hard way over 4 years ago. that white 5spd looks like a nice car, but as suggested have it checked over and maybe test drive it overnight.

NOOOO DUDE dont buy from them they are all rebuilt titles... ive been there its a place called Cloverleaf in opalaca dude... its all bs and shady work.. they wont tell you its a rebuilt title unless you ask. also ****ty customer service when i wanted to buy some parts from them its just a bad place i wouldnt buy from them.

they buy crashed 240's from the auction then fix and sell them all of them have been crashed one way or another even if some are clean titles.

ALL??????????

dammit, cause the RSX is 2 hours away and I didn't get it. too much if you add in tax. shet.

well thanks bro, I'm gonna atleast go check them out. maybe I shud have just gotten the new mazda 6 for 14,625.

wud it be safe to get the one pignose and SR20 swap it? or may it have frame damage? this is a real dream killer, but thanks again for the heads up, it cud have been that and a money killer.

For the sake of reliablility an SR swap may not be in your best interest. That is unless you have the money to do a complete rebuild and make sure that it stays reliable.
