Touge Roads (Northeast only please)
Hey guys, look I'm trying my hardest to find roads that are in my area (roughly) that are really good for Touge. I realize that we're lacking some mountains over here but I'm starting to search my heart out for areas (mostly PA) where there is some elevation change and some wicked curves. I realize that maybe I should have found a road to post first as an example, but since I know of 0 so far, I'll just update this thread as I find any.
Also: Since I realize the amount of decent roads like this are scarce so please also post any decent curvey roads (elevation change excluded here) that you know of with a good series of curves. I think the best way to post any of our findings will be from pics. from mapquest like this one.

That's about the scale you want to use too, 600-800m. Just check out the upper right of the pic if your not sure what I'm talking about. And no that road is not anywhere near us. Unless you consider CA a short drive.....
My method of searching will mostly be by scrolling around on Mapquest when I see what looks like a good road. Feel free to post any comments about: Touge Roads; Curvey Roads; or how you search.
Ok now search for frucking sake!! I want to drive!! lol

Re: Nice Curves LOL
Been there, done that... almost ran from a cop there. You can go much faster than you think there, I only wish it was longer.

sweetness, that would rock!! although admittedly i think fewer people are from this side of the country that frequent this site. However hopefully this thread will eventually hold some the locations of some good roads to drive on.
Black240: Nice picture! Where is that located?

Yeah bikers know what's up. If you don't care to read, it's route 97. It's in Sparrowbush I believe, not far north of Port Jervis.

Yep... that's it. Used to go to school around there, learned how to ride a bike (sportbike) around that park. Sometimes there's cops around, but if you bring buddies along w/a radio or if you just go at certain parts during the night 'n' make a lookout run through first, the place is definitely good for a couple runs... just lookout for the off-camber hairpin...

in williamsport PA theres 554 a mountain road with nice s turn uphill and downhill with turnns coming out of nowhere if its your first time there.. especially at night where theres o light anywhere.. youd have to take a couple passes on it at night to get a jist of the turns and corners. theres no gaurd rails there ithere on alot of the corners and turns so takin it fast on ur first try would be suicide.. ill try n get a video of me and my friends up on the road some time.. its a long road.. and fun.

If you go around the lambertville area to the west of it away from the river there are a lot of nice curvy roads I went during the day and was in the area for a good 2 hours.
Not sure if it was the area becasue I just drove around finding some sweet roads.
Also in Hillsbourough NJ theres a lil mountain with some nice twisties. Only been there once wasnt bad

If there is anyone in the central jersey area around Trenton who is looking for a nice road I know a real nice one about 10-15 minutes from Chambersburg.
I dont want to give out my spot since I barely see anyone on it so PM if you ever want to go on a cruise there.
