you could, but like anything else, it will run smoother with higher octane... dont sacifice your engine to save a few bucks

I'd say you'd want to run nothing less than 89, but yeah if you tune the timing conservatively you can run lower octane.

When I had an sr20de I always ran 89 and it ran fine.

Note: DE, not DET.

If you read l2aines old cardomain (Not sure if his new one has it) He used to have a 200sx SER which has an SR in it...And by the way not ALL silvias had DETs silly

Yes but my SR20DE was FWD version, just like in the Sentra SE-R and the Infiniti G20's.

Agreed - not all "JDM TYTE OMFG WOW PLAYA" Silvia was turbo.

no no, I know about J`s (and q`s and k`s) it`s just that I`ve never seen any shops that advertise selling srde`s and I`d like to find one and do a high revving na buildup on one someday. Also, I have a builder friend who wants to do some mechanical innovations with the SR, as in, build a hybrid of the srVet with the De block and a nice turbo and etc and see what he can make work out of all of it. It`s complicated way over my head, since I`m not an engine person, but the things it should be able to do sound interesting. I`d just like to find a J`s srde for ch33p.

SR20DE RWD's aren't brought in much because everyone wants the turbo part of the DET. Remember the hype.

I just helped out in finishing a turbo sr20de s13 swap... running 7psi, needing little tuning and no bov... we kept within a jetta GLI with $27000+ and major mods. That entire 240 cost $2700. Thing is f*cking quick
