Might be buying another 1992 Nissan 240sx but....
so i may be getting another 1992 240sx auto.. but a few problems with the 92 240sx that i'm gonna try to get the money for... it has 138K mileage which isn't really bad, the motor is clean, doesn't burn oil or over-heat at all.. but once the rpm's hit 4,000 I can hear this rattle... so my guess is it's just the upper chain guides or it's rods starting to go... my rods went in my 5spd 240SX i should be able to tell but I can't.. cuz with my 240sx that have when my rods were going it rattle from 2,000rpm to like 5,000 rpm and it was really loud and plus it burned oil... but with the 240sx that i wanna get for 800 bucks it only rattles once it hits 4,000rpm and doesn't burn oil so it has to be the chain guides but then again I don't know because nothing rattles at idle and the chain guide rattles rattles at start-up and at idle right???
if anyone can help that would be sweet.. thanks!
ohh and as i was driving it and once this rattle started at 4,000rpm i would let off the gas and feel the car like shift hard not sure if all auto do that if they shift hard to slow down while you let off the gas... i'm not sure if they do cuz i always been driving stick since i was 16..
