ka24e performance chips

i just thought that i'd bring these to your attention. i have been working on some chips for the ka24e for the last 6 months and i finally finished, happy with the resulat and i am now offering them for sale to other people.

i'm not posting this in the for sale section because its more performance related and here to let you know that there is a cheaper alternative to what may be on the market currently.

the results of the chips are fantastic. the flat spot at 2800rpm is gone, the engine is more responsive and has more torque and overall power is increased. the top end is also opened up and there are fantastic power increases from the mid -> high rev range. also if you have a rough idle the chip should remedy your problems.

as most of you would know this is a very cost effective option for those who just have bolt on mods and don't want to hand over cash for more elaborate aftermarket engine management. in the future i was hoping to do a tune for turbo ka's as well.

all the info you need on them is here.

Cool man... even the E's need attention.

...any chance on a DE version + no speed limit + higher redline, anyone?

I think you would need a little more info, as well as more than 6 months, if you tuned it wrong the engine could not mess up for a little while longer. How is the gas milage? what is redline?

Biggest problem with honda ecu tuners is they don't know what they are doing and they mess up their engine with the shiesty ecu.

Post the dyno ##'s when you get them please.

i'm hoping to start work on a de ecu shortly. i just have to do more investigation into it first.

as for with my ka24e chips, mileage is good.. you dont really even notice the difference.

i've kept the rev limiter the same to keep things running ok, i could raise it no worries, but after a bit of research and some well appreciated advice i've kept the limit the same. however, if someone insisted that they had a setup that would safely handle the extra revs then i'd help them out with a raised limiter, but i would take no responsibilty if any damage occured.

speed limiters on the other hand are no problems.

as for needing more time then 6 months, well, i dunno, might be a matter of opinion. there is this shop i know of that tuned a ka24e chip for a friend, and they'd never done one before. they had his car for a day, and they tuned it. not saying its possible to have a good tune within a day, but i think that the 6 months i've spent is long enough

well "mate", i think it's great what ur doing. i'd be most interested when u start to delve into turbo KA applications. if u can do it well, cheaper, and without the 10yr turn around that JWT has, i might be sold.

Yeah link doesn't work anymore..
I was wondering though if he could send me the bins. I've been working a lot with honda ecus with wideband and all the shmilblik.. I've recently started doing some work on ka ecus. I've got a few programs and have done some street but tuning. I would be interested in looking at your bins noss, just to see where you stand.

Also I wanted to add that with a chipping job, comes the send out of ecu I'm sure, since a re-chipping isn't allowed from factory - dunno if he mentioned it... or if u guys knew :P
