Unhappy ka24de problems

I have a 1993 240sx with a kade. Lately the #1 cylinder does not fire at idle and doesn't start to fire until high in the rpm range. Sometimes not at all. It has fresh plugs. Any help would be appreciated.

check the dist. cap and rotor...just pull the cap and look at the # 1 terminal inside cap----also ck your ignition coil if it isnt the cap

While on the topic of the coil, does anyone run an aftermarket coil? I was thinking of getting an MSD Blaster SS. Has anyone else ever had one of these on their 240?

the blaster 2 is a good coil... works well in our cars... i like he whole msd line up...it sounds like there is either a coil problem or a problem inside of your distributor... i would start with the coil first...

I ordered an MSD blaster coil and I checked the dist. cap. The cap looked ok but I'm going to order a new cap anyways. Hopefully this will fix my problem.

which ignition box from msd do you run? I was thinking of ordering the SCI one. Would that be a wise choice?
