How to make the clutch stiffer?
My clutch is really spongy and weak but when I had the clutch off it looked good and fairly new so I ask is there any way to make the feel stiffer or is it the pressure plate thats weakened? Also whats a good aftermarket clutch that will give excellent grip under hard driving?

you should probably bleed the clutch if it speels spongy, moisture/air tends to get in their over time. Whilst bleeding the clutch you can remove the damper box which is located on the passenger frame rail, its not needed and make the clutch work a pain.
Airman Jackson (Biggamehit) knows alot about the clutches and will post up some info, he also can recommend an awesome clutch set-up that will hold like there is no tomorrow, "White Bunny Set-up"

Hi
what the two guys above said is alll valid.. adding a new slave cly, flushing/bleeding the clutch system and even adjusting your clutch pedal travel ( via 14mm bolt right above your clutch pedal) will all make your clutch feel better and your pedal will have less play
however what you are probably experiencing is an weak pressure plate Diaphragm. the strength of the diaphragm is what generally gives you the feeling of spongy ( old/worn, misaligned fingers, O.E.M). when you step up to the staged/high performance clutches such as Clutch Master, ACT, every aspect of the pressure plate is designed for great TQ and HP level do to the great stronger material, design and clamping force*. so when you hear people say " man i get a work out on the highway from pushing my clutch in" more than likely they have a very un-streetable clutch on the road and the pedal is Very very hard to push in...............well not that hard, but its defiantly not normal lol
to remove the damper go here to Raines page and click clutch damper removal great write ups

*Ill get the numbers on clamping force, off the top of my head i belive stock clamping force is about 2200 lbs
