Fuel Pump Blown Fuse >:(

I seached around and was unable to come up with anything helpfull before posting this question here.

I have a 1990 240sx se around 215k miles on it. Last week I went around a left turn corner rather fast and fuel was cut from the motor at the end of the turn.

I started checking the basics, it would try to start but no fuel, I checked for spark also. Ended up coming to my main fuse box and finding that the 10A fuel pump fuse was blown.

I borrowed a 10A fuse from the horn, put it in for the fuel pump, went to start the car and it did nothing again. Popped the 10A fuse. So I swapped in a 15A fuse, same thing, popped that one too.

Got it towed home and put a 30A fuse in, still nothing but it doesn't pop the fuse. I'm at a loss right now, and really don't want to take it into a shop as they will bend me over.

Anyone have any ideas? THANKS!

Sounds like your 16-year-old fuel pump has finally bit the dust.

Fortunately, replacing it is easy and fun, and not that expensive. Check out http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/ for Walbro in-tank replacement pumps.

Easy maybe, Fun perhaps.... I'll give it a try, hopefully it's the pump that has seized and is causing my problems. I'll report back in a few days after the pump has been replaced....
