if you look at the way the taurus fan was wired up with the Imperial Controller PN: 3647 $36 you can see that if the ac comes on it will turn on the fan as well... since you are removing your ac fan this helps with the cooling under ac load... if you also notice it is still wired to the temp switch... so when the temp comes up to temp the fan will kick on automatically... sounds like a smart way to do it to me...keep it automatic and there is no forgetting about hitting a switch... or turning on the ac... just a thought...
as far as having answers for everything i dont know bout that cus i ask one hell of a lot of questions...

what you can do is take out the mechanical fan and wire your electric one up to an igniton switch. there are 2 wires coming off the fan motor blue=power, black =ground. i've done this mod and sensnce the heavy stock mechanical fan is removed it has the same efect as installing lighter pulleys i havnt had any overheating problems from this mod but if you do it make sure your electric fan works and keep an eye on your temp gauge.

any of the early 90's models will work... there are 2 styles of them there is a thick one and a thin one... i would go for the thicker one since you wont have a clutch fan in there...
