EGR Line on S14

I just installed some Hotshot headers if you want to call it a installation. I got everything on but the EGR line because the threads on my EGR line have gone to hell. I had a very good technician I know personally look at it and he told me to get a new EGR line. I have heard that if you cap the two holes for the EGR line your engine will run better. It works well on some other cars as I have seen browsing around on the internet and my dad did it to his MGB and it ran better. My question is, are the 240s the same way? If it will save me the money and the KA24DE can hold the extra heat since the exhaust and engine would run hotter, I would love looking into this. If any of you have capped your EGR lines or know of others with S14s that have capped them, please let me know your experience. My car is a 1995 just incase you are wondering with a CAI, Headers, and Catback, I am also working towards the Porting and Polishing of the Cylinder head and boring the Throttle Body.

It should work fine for S13's, but S14's are OBD II and I think if you take it out your check engine light will stay on.

LOL S14s are not OBII and besides that the EGR line would run a code but with it off you fail inspection anyways. But it is a little late now, my new EGR line is in and I wasted the money on it. Oh well! Now I just need to get my new cylinder head in that is bored .40
