Exclamation coolant leaking/ engine overheating

the other day i spotted a huge puddle of water under my '94. i didn't really make much of it until i drove it and it overheated this morning. i can see where coolant leaked from the in hose going to the engine, but it seemed to be dry there when the engine is turned on. i spotted some water dripping from the under side of the block but then it stopped. the water was also coming from the crank pully as well which also stopped. could this be a busted water pump that backed up and made the in hose leak? if not what else could it be?
