Budget Mans Guide to an N/A Build

Headers and Intake only seem to give peak hp about 2-3hp each, but you get real good low-mid range w/ the Intake and header. The Exhaust on avg. from 2.5"+ will give you atleast 7whp+ some ppl have even exp. 15whp w/ an 3" exhaust so.

You should also add a modified catch can system. Routing the catch can inline through the bottom of the engine block, and run the catch can outline into the intake system. This will overall reduce bottom end pressure and windage, will probably make a 5 to 6WHP gain, on any engine. Also the addition of a crank scraper and windage tray..

Nice thread, you should add the EGR block off... I've seen dyno testing showing it adds 8hp IIRC. You will need something like an SAFC because the bottom end will run way rich after removing or blocking the EGR.

Thats a big gain from the EGR block off, Thats friggin great considering it's an $5 pc of eBay lol. Is that w/ an stock header or w/ an aftermarket header? Cause IIRC they way it works is the pressure pushes it through the egr but if you have an aftermarket header that flows better, the pressure more then likely will be lower so there wouldnt be much flow through the EGR anyways. good thought tough.

Or you can simply reset your ecu. Reseting the ecu will correct your AFR's. I run this one mega rich tune on the SAFC and every time I switch from the lean tune to my mega rich tune I have to reset the ecu. When I switch from the lean tune to the mega rich tune it will bog the engine down. The ecu is great at calculating the A/Fr's when everything (exhaust gasses) passes the O2 sensor.
