Best NA motor?

I love driving an N/A motor. I was wondering what was the best motor for going N/A. I know there is a SR20VE, but i don't know where to get one. What about the SR20DE? Does anyone know how much power they can achieve? Also, can i use parts from a DET (ie cams) on the DE?

the sr20de is a pretty good engine... There is a nice build up on SCC about Project Sentra... they tuned it pretty well..
The ve I assume is variable timing... but I haven't read anything about it..
The KA I believe has the greatest potential out of those..
Its a stroker to begin with..

From what I've seen the KA24E has more potential than the KA24DE in N/A form. I'd look into it atleast.

Why? A ca18det will have a hell of a lot more potential then any n/a build up.

yeah, but i only want around 250 - 275hp out of the CA. Should be easy to reach. But i want a N/A because i like the feel of N/A. And besides, my friend might use it for his eight-six.

Not exactly sure myself, but there's some Datsuns running SOHC KA's with 240+ whp, and I have yet to see a DOHC go anywhere near that... not even sure if they can hit 180 without plenty of custom work.

I've heard that the touring cars use single cam racing engines. Plus i've seen some great mods for the single cam, like ITB's and dual side draft carbs.

and the datsuns have No custom work??

Its just that everyone turbos the dohc...
give it a little more time, there are several builds in the process that will tell.

In terms of fabrication, not really. The parts can be bought off the shelf.
