KA24ET Oil feed/return lines

Im having trouble running my oil feed and return lines. First of all, is the oil switch connected to the oil pressure sending unit? And to remove the oil pan, do you absolutely have to remove the cross member? Or could I just jack up the engine to the top of its mounts and get enough room with that? Any help is appreciated.

i'm not sure about the first part of your question, but i've found that drain tube gets in the way if you don't remove the cross member or pull the engine.

undo your motor mounts and jack up the motor from the bellhousing or with a cherry picker. then just drop the swaybar and pull it out the front. you will have to take off the oil pickup before you can slide it out obviously.

Yup what these guys said minus dropping the subframe.. you don't have to go that far.

What I did was:

drain the oil
loosen the 10mm bolts
undo motor-mounts
jack up engine from base of transmission ( if you don't have a hoist )
tilt the front of the oil pan down
undo oil pick up
slide oil pan out.

Now putting it back on just do reverse.... I suggest getting a oil pan gasket. If you are going to use RTV apply it and let it get pretty hard before attempting to reinstall the pan.

ps

Be sure to scrape old gasket off the oil pan and bottom of the block.
