Can I connect an ELM327 to a consult port?

I have an ELM 327 (ver 1.2a) that I use, with my laptop to read ECU codes through the OBD II port so I can check sensors for my car and some other cars that I am tasked with keeping in running shape. It works fine for what it is supposed to do.

I was wondering though, if it might be possible to connect my elm 327 to the consult port on my 95 240sx OBD II. I would have to use a consult to RS323 serial cable, and this would of course be done so I could use the conzult software. Does anyone know if this will work?

im not sure about that either... the biggest issue will be drivers. i mean you could connect it, but im pretty sure the system will not detect the laptop right away. Ill see what i can dig up....

I am actually in the process of trying to hack the safc and get it to work on my laptop... people have done it, i just have to look it up.

Shoot, I was hoping since I already had drivers for the elm, that all I would need was software like conzult, that would read from the different port.
