defrosting tips I've learned over time:

a/c somehow makes defrost work faster.

if you really need heat while defrosting put it on the floor/defrost button, it seems to send heat to the floor while correctly defrosting.

never defrost with heat, it just makes things worse.

where do you live?

from my understanding, the best way to defrost the glass is to have it match the outside temperature. Aka if it's 25 degrees and you heat up the glass, it will just cause more condensation (sp?). If you cool the glass to close to the outside temp, the condensation will go away.

I also belive by default, defrost allows outside air into the system to try to even out the temp because if you look the air recirculate light goes off when you hit the defrost button.

actaully in my dad's accord, it kicks on the a/c by default when u defrost.

Huh. Thats odd, I always use heat in order to defrost my windshield. Now granted I normally leave it on, but since if it's on in the first place it's pretty cold. So since the defroster also slowly heats up the inside of the car I don't have a problem with it.

All Honda's automatically turn on the A/C for you when you hit the defrost button ....one more reason why Honda's >> Nissan's
And to clear up the windshield, just make the windshield temperature match the exterior temp, as someone else has said. That works 99% of the time for me.

yeah not all. And in all honesty, in the accord, 75% of the time we turn the a/c cuz all it does is make the damn car cold as hell. I actually wish it didn't do that, is there a way to turn it off?

honestly the best method I've come up with that works perfect in my 240sx... is turning the heat all the way up, and pushing the defrost/floor button. Somehow all the heat gets directed to the floor (keeping me warm) and the coldish outside air goes and defrosts the windshield. And since heat rises it works perfectly. BAM!

That's about what I do, it does defrost the windows pretty well. BUT, I end up in Raine's shoes and I'm cold until about 30 seconds before I park the car.

I did a little looking befiore i posted this but am still new to the S14 and am a lil confused. No clue what "pineapple" or the Danpachi doll is. Looked up mulitchecker, It's a diagnosic "translator" made from Apex'i right?. Chuki? I guess it's an S13 only thing. Japandy is an Ebay seller or something...? Brash fang is a term I've only heard Raine use. It's a type of riced out kit correct? v-mount is a different way to mount an intercooler, but where is this "different" location? BTW I posted this for more of a direction than answers. I know you guys get tired of answering NOOB questions
