Ok, believe me this is one of the hardest thing to do. I recently installed PIAAs Extreme Whites on my baby and I swear I was gonna kill somebody...
I got a 96 SE so i think you should be straight. First of all, I hope you're replacing the low beam lights, which are the outer set. High beams are easier since the plug is already exposed. And I hope you didnt try to take your whole housing out cause you dont need to.
- Ok, what you need to do is twist off the circular ring that surrounding the headlight plug. Here's the part that is a *****:
--> To remove the plug, you have to feel the sides of the rubber cap. There are two clips on the side that you have to squeeze to the middle to remove. The hard part is the fact that these things are TINY!! Using the usual Thumb and side of the index finger squeeze aint gonna do crap. USE both index fingers to "pinch the sides." You should be able to wiggle out the plug then.
After that, you should be straight. Let me know if you still have trouble.

Dude it's easier if you do take the whole headlight off. It's not hard and gives you more room to figure out how to get the bulbs out.
Forgive the measurements of the bolts if I'm off; I'm typing this from the top of my head:
This is for the right side headlight ; switch left/right references for the left headlight)
1) take the screw holding the corner light off and remove the corner light by pulling it forward, then out. You'll see two 10mm nuts holding the headlight to the chassis. Remove and don't eat.
2) on the inside end of the headlight, right behind the front grille, there are two 10mm screws. There's enough space to fit a socket wrench in there to take them out. Again, do not eat.
3) the headlight should come out now with a little shimmying (is that a word?). Swap your bulbs, reinstall, and bang - you're done.
If Hyjinx sees this - hey man? Another addition to your FAQ?
