what should i look for when buy a used 1989 sx with 160xxx

before i buy a 1989 240 sx what should i look for? guy i need ur in put plzzzzz

rust, check compression if you can, any oil/ps leaks.

Rusted frame rails, usually drives side front where it bend upwards, rear frame rail where the exhaust hanger is, rusted inner fenders.

Then your basic, check the fluids, make sure no oil is in the coolant, and vice versa, make sure the oil looks clean and changed, look for oil leeking from the head gasket, put the key in the ignition and turn it to accessory DONT START IT and make sure you see a check engine light, if not they allready pulled the bulb. Start it listen for noises and vacuum leaks, and have some one rev it and look for smoke and take note as to what color it is.
