Im a full time college student, so I couldn't do the house right now. Ive thought about saving it, but im 22, and an international business major minoring in Japanese, so life after college is gonna be good . Thats why i just want to spend this money on a project or build the Evo.

It's good that you are an international business major. College is extremely important. I didn't go to college , but I worked as an engineer, and laborer for years through my dads constructuion company(I was lucky). I was gracefully blessed and make 50,000 a year (luckily). My sister graduated from chico state with a construction managemetn degree and makes $65,000 out of college. My brother, is getting a job through my sister, and will make 60,000 a year starting. These are salaries with minimal work compared to my labor lifestyle. Stay in school bro I wish I did, but I do have a contractors lisence to play with.

Thats really good man and to be honest i love working with my hands more than sitting at a desk job. Im a novice detailer as well and absolute love doing it (nothing like bringing back the shine to a dull car!) and thought about starting a business out here (lots of yuppies out here! ), but unless i was doing Ferraris, Porches, and high-end exotics everyday id probably be looking at making 40k a year or so after buying product and other expenses and with my degree and diploma in auto. tech that i already have and including a minor in Japanese im looking at 100k out of college (I want to work for Mitsu, Nissan, or Toyota), so thats what drew me to do this. It sucks being a 22 y/o freshman though

this is a car forum, so i'm going to give a car guy response.

$12k is a down payment on an exige.
$12k is almost buying an s2k
$12k is half of an nsx
$12k can be put into a 240sx. that will make the 240 faster, but the others cars are much better.

That sucks man! Id love to get a GTS-T, but the emissions here in Reno are just as bad as Cali, so it'd have to be legalized or id have to register it back in GA. A swapped 240 wouldn't be a problem though

$12,000 I would buy an overly built 1970 510 2 door, with a VQ35de, roll cage, R32 brake set up, and a tank of NOS in the trunk to hit low 9's in the 1/4 mile. There thats my car response..

That would be fun. Maybe the 510 w/SR20. I have the Evo for straight line if i really wanted to. I want to build another drift car and something thats fun and low maintenance to drive daily. My SR was low maintenance compared to the Evo .

You could drift the 510 couldn't you ? I'm not sure of the weight dist. but if you can drift a Mustang or Charger, it can be done. Super rare and classic Nissan/Datsun + modern powertrain (VG,SR,KA) FTW.
