Weight distribution

Hey guys, just had a quick question. Any one have any info on the weight distribution of a hatchback and a coupe? I know its close to 50/50, but could find anything in my searching. Thanks!

I calculate its 55 front and 45 Back From some numbers that I found.

Look at my thread about weight reduction info.

Awesome, thats what I wanted to know. Any idea on if the hatchback is any different? I thought the hatchback was about 100lbs heavier than the coupe. Any ideas on that?

Ok. Its funny that no one has discussed this much, this being a handling oriented car and all. The main reason I ask is because I want to know which one I would rather purchase. I'm not here to start that fiery thread, though.

240sx . . . .handling? If by handling you mean loves to underteer, then yes . . . It's a car that CAN be made to handle well, but in and of itself . . no . . .

well dave your wrong there yes s13 has understeer but they added some more weight to the front of the s14 to make it have neutral steering and again another reason why s14 ftw

I still wouldn't call it a handling oriented car, Adam. That's like saying that a Geo Metro is a handling oriented car simply because they do well in autocrosses. But that's taking us off topic . . .we argue enough in IMs, no need to hijack a thread over it . . .

coupe, hatch, s14, weight distribution is all nearly the same... something like upgrading the front and rear sway bars will make a much bigger difference in how the car handles than moving 50lbs here or there.
