have someone drive the car while you sit in the trunk area and locate the cause of the rattle. If you can't find it, then try adjusting the hatch lock lower to bring the hatch tighter to the rest of the body.

And post in the right section next time... this has nothing to do with audio.

to remove trunk rattle you do as follows.

1. loosen the bolts holding the trunk latch to the body of the car.
2. move the lack down about 1mm or so.
3. tighten bolts back up

this will cause the trunk to close and pull tighter to the body if this dose not help you need to do some real work to get the seal right.

this sounds kinda dumb but this is what i did. i went to the local bicycle shop and bought a set of real cheap handle bar grips that were soft rubber like material. i cut them about an inch up from the closed end and pushed them on to the rubber stoppers for the trunk...hasnt rattled sense then. worked like a champ and you cant even tell that they are there cause the are bleck rubber just like the factory ones. ill post a pick here soon.

So you basically made the rubber bump stopper thing a little larger, right? That's a good idea

its either that or you need to adjust the locking mechinism. just undo the bolts a little and move it. then retighten

and yes thats pretty much what i did. you cant ever tell that they are there. its pretty nice

Got my trunk release to work And figured out that I'm missing the rubber stopper on the left side of my trunk. I'm going to the nissan dealer to get and hopefully the rattle will stop
