Thinking about buying an s13 for $1200

I'm not sure if this is the right forum so move it if you have to. Anyway, I was looking around for a new car and I saw a manual 1990 240sx with 135,000 miles for $1200. I was looking online so I didn't see a picture of it, but I called earlier today and the guy said that the engine was good but the body was in bad shape. He didn't really say what about it though and how bad it was. Im gonna go look at it friday because I don't have school, and I was wondering what I should look for. Also, they have an automatic with more miles for $1950, so either the body is in really bad condition or both the engine and the body are bad.

however if there is extensive frame damage and it looks completely rusted out like a southern spitting can then stay far away... Bodies in decent shape are harder to come by than good engines....

Bad body damage with a 135,000 mile SOHC I wouldn't offer more than $900.00. Body damage usually means that the engine has been dogged as well.
