taillight/brakelight questions...i need help!
hey guys,
i just got my nissan 240sx two days ago, its a 1995 model. and the tail light/brake lights were not working, i found out they didnt have any light bulbs, so i went and got some 1156 bulbs and put them in, and it works, but im wondering, does the brake light on the trunk always stay on?(when all the lights are on,headlights and tail lights) or does it come on only when i press down on the brakes? i noticed when i press on the brakes, the 3 lights get a little bit brighter.
when the lights are off and i pushed down the brakes its fine. im just new to nissans and it just seems weird how all the tailight/brakelight stays on when im drving.
i know its a noob question, but i really need to know.
thanks

okay.. i have a 95 240sx.. the two brake lights (the ones that are not on the trunk) are supposed to stay on (when all the lights are turned on -headlights/praking-) and do get brighter when brake is pressed... but i never herd of that 3rd light staying on and getting brighter... mustve been a mod or some wire probs... maybe check the connections with the reverse light and 3rd brake light plug.. they both look like the same size and shape.. its prolly switched around.. i had a problem like that but my reverse and 3rd brake light didnt work at all.. but try it out.. that might be the problem

pop the trunk.. look under the trunk lid thingy.. follow the wires from the 3rd brake light bulbs to a single socket.. then follow the reverse bulb wires to another single socket.. both should be the first sockets you come to.. they look exactly the same.. jes switch em around to see if it'll help..
