Is an SR20DET a reliable daily driver?

I'm looking at getting a '93, '95 or '96 (depending on the price) 240 with high mileage. As soon as I get it I want to swap out for an SR20DET. I will be using this car as a daily driver with some track usage and was wanting to know if it was reliable enough to put 25k/year on it? I would also appreciate if anyone could point me to a reputable shop for the swap in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Thanks for any help!

yeah, came stock in japonses cars, so I'd hope so! Some claim more reliable than the KA. Just don't abuse the boost on her.

dude any of the engines we swap in our cars such as the the rb series engines sr`s or the ca`s should be reliable. If the swap was done rite and it was taken care of then im guessing it would be.

Part two of the question: a shop to swap

I need to find a reputable shop that can swap the engines for me. Does anyone know of any in the North Texas area?
