Where can I gte a bigger maf sensor, I know the little maff sensor that is on my car is robbing some horsepower, its so small what kind of maf sensors would work on my car. Would an sr20det maf work, is it bigger??

Unless you're boosting over 7psi then the stock MAF should be fine.

The previous owner might have trimmed (hacked) it. The delusion that MAF hacking will improve performance is one suffered by ricers.

What evidence do you have that suggests that the MAF is causing a loss in power?

 

Its just alot smaller than the throttle body, I can see how it could causes a scavenging effect though??

i agree with you ryan, my mechanic who helps me out with my sr suggested i get a larger mafs, maybe from a 300zx or something, does anyone know where to get a new o2 sensor?

 

I have just got a mafs off a 300zx and the harness is different? or is it just the wrong modle of mafs"wrong year" my 240 has 4plugs in the harness and the 300's has 6plugs. if this is right then how would i mate the two. the mafs that i got has two screens- one on the inlet side and the other on the outlet side, and it has a metal circle in the center of the mafs. is the the right on???

 

you need to get the harness off a 300zx as well. ours doesn't plug in. and a 300zx maf is better because of that reason, but trust me. . a stock 240sx maf is fine unless you're runnning over 200rwhp. Adding a bigger fuel pump doesn't make your car do anything more than run rich.
