Ok the quick breakdown... My new 240sx I bought something seems to be wrong with the cruise control buttons by the guage cluster area, one says cruise the other Off..anyways is there a spring behind the buttons? because mine seem to just push in all the way and not spring back out??? I have to use tape to pull them back out and they just come all the way out and I can't figure out how they work?

Does any one know how they work or have taken your buttons out before and can discribe if there is a spring or something im missing. Thanks it's bugging the bleep out of me.

u can prolly pickup new buttons from the junk yard. Take the dash panel that they are in out and they should just pop out. Disconnect the wiring harness and pop the new set of buttons from a junk yard in and ur golden.

You will have to remove piece #5 I believe.

Well I found 2 springs in the glove box and nothing looks broke on the buttons so do you think I just need to put the springs back in them? can you pop out one of your buttons and discribe what you see?

I'm not about to open up my dash just to see what the buttons look like. Mine aren't broken I'm pretty sure the buttons are one complete unit cuz I've swapped buttons on my Infiniti G20 before and it's hte same setup. Springs aren't removable from them. Why don't you open it up and check it out? Your best bet is picking up replacement buttons off someone who is parting their car out or a junk yard. (or you can go to the stealership and pay $$$ for new ones).
