You can order 100 octane sunoco, or 100 octane VP racing gas for about $60.00 for 5 gallons. At your mom and pop auto parts stores

Or 104 octane from TORCO for $80.

Update: I ended getting a z32 maf and pigtail from my local salvage yard for 25 dollars. cant beat that.

i got my GTiR T28 installed. its a lot laggier than the stock t25. full boost(12psi) at about 3700 rpm, but it pulls all the way to redline. I hope to up the boost to about 16-17 psi here in the next week. Theres not a huge difference between the 2 turbos.

The t28 feels a little stouter, but i like i said, it doesnt feel like the turbo dies off in the higher rpm. I will be dynoing this setup and will compare. Hopefully ill be picking up a disco potato in the next couple of weeks.

you sure you don't have a boost or exhaust leak? 3700rpm seems pretty late for it to hit 12lbs, but of course what gear is that in?

I know i dont have an exhaust leak. I might have a boostleak, but i dont think so. Thats WOT in just about every gear. Ive read on a couple other places that those gtir turbos are laggy, they supposedly have the largest exhaust housing of the t28s.. but yeah it does seem high. If i dont have any leaks i probably wont be keeping this turbo long.

does it take that long to spool on the factory bluebird motor? i have an enormous exhaust housing (suited for 6l engines) on my ka and it spools to 5psi before 3k

A safe boost would be 13-15 psi. Anything higher might blow the stock t25.

I hope not it doesnt. i need to research that. actually i paid more attention to it today, and it is closer to 4000 rpm for full boost. Im going to have to check some things. Im gonna check the wastegate, but im pretty much 100% that my wastegate is closed tight. i keep blowing the 90 degree coupler that comes off my turbo elbow. maybe im having a boostleak there. we'll see
