Unhappy Is it safe to drive?

Hello, all.

My '95 240SX has had a check engine light on for about 2 months. When I checked the error code, it read knock sensor and throttle position sensor are malfunctioning. I had my friend replaced the throttle position sensor(after about 3 weeks) and he couldn't figure out how to replace knock sensor.

Since the CEL came on, the car doesn't drive right. Erratic idle is the most obvious symptom. It often dies when slowing down after highway driving.

Is it ok to drive with the CEL on? How do I replace the bad knock sensor? I was told that the knock sensor may not be malfunctioning, but other things can cause that such as dirty throttle body(definately, throttle body has not been cleaned for long) and so on...

What do you guys think? I've been busy and didn't pay attention to that problem, but I just realized it coule cause more serious problem in the future. How much should I expect to pay for the labor for the knock sensor replacement? (I already have the new knock sensor ordered from on-line Nissan dealer) BTW, my 240SX has 148k miles on it.

Thanks ya all in advance!!

well your car doesnt drive bad because your CEL is on.. but because you hav a bad knock sensor.

CEL only tells you the problem but is not a problem itself.

i am pretty sure your car will drive better after you replace the knock sensor that you ordered.
