S14 foglights

S14 foglights

How do I get of the yellow lenses from the foglights.
I already tryed puttinng them on hot water, it suposed to removed the glass cover, but it didnt.
is there another way?

heat them in the oven for like 10 min at 500 degrees. keep an eye on it so it doesnt melt. as soon as you take it out (becareful its VERY HOT) remove what you want and you have about 20-30 mins b4 the glue dries again.

BTW try not 2 get the glue on anything its a Bit<h to get out

did you pm me a while back? im suprised the boil in water method didnt work. 500 is way to hot they will def melt in the oven that high temp. preheat to 400 cut off the oven place the light on a cold cookie sheet and put tin foil over the lense. wait 10 mins and try that. when u put them in hot water did you leave them in for like 5 mins? get a butter knife and cut the glue between the housing and lense and pull the sucker off. hope this can help also if the actual projector lense is yellow then you can not drive w/o and proj lense. you will need a clear lense otherwise you will have very crappy light distribution but if the yellow is just a little flat glass piece behind the projector you can take it off and be just fine.

I did try for a bit more than 5 min. But with the oven its way to risky for me. Thanx for the help.
