Right-Hand Drive: Silvia RPS13

I have the money and time to import a real right hand drive Silvia directly from japan, but I don't know how and where to begin. Also I just remembered, Silvia's in japan are made with the sr20det, so I won't have to do a swap.

Thats very true, but I dont know if it'll go through the same process as the Nissan Skyline GTR. With the Skyline, I know the goverment takes it for a few months and starts basically terring it apart. And yes you have to pay for that. I know in some states you HAVE to convert your right hand to left because of "safety" if you will. Im not very sure of this but I'll get some more information on this for you. Theres a city in Mass. that a guy has a Silvia. Im going to ask him about the process and such.

Hope I somewhat helped lol.

add $3000 to the price from japan. my friend bought a del sol sir from japan for like $6500 with 40,000 miles on it. u figure a del sol us spec would sell for like $3000 in that condition.

Well I just wish I knew what I had to do to make the Silvia legal in the states and all of the testing and the total est. price for the process, while still being able to keep it a right hand drive, thats what gives its' JDM perspective.

1. Not all Silvias have SR20DETs
2. They truly are not difficult to ship from Japan
3. THEY ARE NOT street legal in the US and NOBODY legalizes them.
4. It would make an expensive door stop.

That sounds like a very good idea. I have another question though. Lets say I have a 93' 240sx with the KA engine still in it, I buy a silvia front clip, (the one with Projector Headlights). Do the front clips usually include the dash, steering wheel, and just about everything I need to convert the American left hand drive to Right-Hand drive Silvia. Maybe someone might know a good website that tells great info on doing a KA 240sx swap to a right-hand drive SR20.

I have found out info just now that a s13 front clip does have everything that I need to do the conversion. Now I am thinking about doing a CA18DET swap with the conversion instead of the SR, because it is cheaper, the CA revs higher, and I don't want to be another person found in the SR crowd, I rather have the 175hp engine. I can always do minor modifications to obtain the same numbers as a SR with less amount of cash. Basically, I am the kind of person who wants to be different and have a SR like everybody else.

Does anyone know if the ca18det swap is a straight easy swap sorta like the sr? I hope it is, if not where the hell do i find out info on all of the things needed to modify or other things done to complete the swap. I looked all over online the past two days and all i find is sr swaps and i even searched the club240 forums, still nothing. Someone please provide me info.
