Question Rev to 3000 and hear clicking??

Everytime I am in neutral and rev right at 3000 letting off gas pedal or not I hear like clicking noises under my feet. Even when changing gears at 3000 it does it to.Any idea? My brother said it is prob heat sensor or whatever?

I will bet you a thousand dollars it's your exhaust hitting the bottom of the car. I have an aftermarket exhaust and it does that from time to time. 3k is like the "sweet spot" for the vibrations to just hit the car.

What do you mean hitting bottom of car? Does it need to be welded or bolted in? The noise is right right behind the left front tire. The only thing I have on the car is a muffler btw

the exhaust can hit against the floor only if its bigger than stock,,, you may have to bang the floor in.. what you are hearing is the heat shielding.. get that crap outta there. all you need is an 10mm with an extention and maybe a swivel to take it down

I think its like just a 10mm wrench. You can do it yourself no problem. Honestly its incredibly easy, you wont need to take it to a shop.

grinding and clicking are two dif things...but go for adjusting heat shielding first or have someone sit in your car and rev while you listen and look

or rev it yourself while looking around the engine bay, but yeah just ditch the heatshield and if that dont work we'll go from there.

remove the heat shield from the exhaust manifold and under the car you will be happy.. to remove the manifold shield without taking you egr off, you will need some tin cutter and the hand strength of a man lol.... easy stuff... bro stay away from shops... learn your craft.

as you were

The header is the exhaust, on the drivers side. Do you mean the intake plenum? Like, the part of the intake after the throttle body?
