i heard that you can take off the clutch fan and still be ok cause you already have the e-fan. is that true. and that by doin so you reduce stress on the motor. so......

I wanna know this too..

Honestly, I don't think the efan is big enough to handle all the heat load.

remove the clutch fan and upgrade the mechanical fan. a few hps on the butt dyno. the stock electrical fan kicks in when the water temps gets too hot. it moves enough cfm but id upgrade to be safe

The OEM E-Fan that is in your car, it is for the a/c condenser. It only kicks on when the a/c is running to cool the system. You can use this fan it is adequate but still on borderline if you ask me. You need to install a thermatic switch to the fan so that it kicks on, just like you would a normal electric. So why not just buy a real aftermarket fan.

Sounds like you've been very, very lucky. The pusher fan isn't nearly big enough to move sufficient air to keep the car from overheating under 30 mph. Even an aftermarket pusher that covers the full height of the radiator is marginal.

What if you have a Koyo aluminum radiator and dual 12" Flex-a-Lite fans with a NISMO 149 degree thermostat? Would that sufficiently cool a KA-T?

Also remeber, Aluminum radiator poses no advantage over Coper, sicne coper transmit more heat, So if you have an aluminum radiator, don't remove ur clutch fan. The aluminum one's work better because they make them bigger. And if its thinker than 1 inch, then u better upgrade the fans, not downgrade them.
