Relocating front wiring harness

There's no 'electrical' section, so I posted this here.

I was looking through one of my old Option2 magazines (2003) and I saw an article where they would take the front wiring harness (the portion that runs from the firewall, over the right front wheel, into the engine bay) and relocate it under the hood in order to have more wheel clearance under the front right fender, as well as to keep from inadvertantly chewing up the wiring harness to shreds if the front right suspension would compress so much as to hit it. I was wondering if anyone here has done this mod, or if anyone with an unwired engine bay (in the middle of a swap, perhaps?) could take a look and gauge just how easy (or how hard) this mod would be.
