hey guys my passenger pwr window just died without showing symptoms ya know. i checked all fuses. can u help me out

 

More than likely if you can't roll it up or down from either power window switch the motor is fried.

 

turn on your dash lights push the button for the windows to go up or down. if your dash lights dim the switch is good. if the lights don't dime then there isn't anything drawing current which might be a bad switch, motor, or blown fuse.

i wouldn't be surprised though if the track is damaged though.

 

if you can pull the door panel off and look and listen at it while using one of the buttons to try and make it go up. If you hear a grinding the motor might still be good, but a cable snapped. I dont know how prone the 240's are to that, but the 2003-2006 chevy trucks break all the time.

wow thanks guys that was fast. sorry but i need to get her inspected so i need to trouble shoot the reverse lights before anything else happens. any of you guys have the same problem?

 

yay fixed the reverse problem, bad swicth on tranny. now i can try the windows

 

hey will a pwr seat belt motor work for a window? they do look the same

 

only one way to find out.

ok well they dont macth up. im gonna see if a stanza from the junkyard will macth

 

yay stanzas macth up after some work so it works now. but in the process my hud stopped working. is it the capacitor if both displays dont work?
