#16
I'm not gonna lie.
I was looking for a car, my friend had one for sale. 1992 240sx.
I asked him, wat the hell is a 240sx.
Look at me know
I bought it because i liked it, i never knew there was a fad until recently lol

i orginally wanted a civic and still do....
i have a 90 s13...
i love rwd i had my car for 2 years now
i got it because it was cheap at the time and was a beater haha
learned to love it because i try to put so much love and time into it...
93 with under 150k miles on it should be ok...
mine had 120k, thats less then some 5 year old cars out there haha.
if your 16... i say u get a auto car first... but if u can get a 240sx then go with it i guess...
i have some dumb friends that want to just drive stick... which is a bad mistake...
its hard to explain... dont get a car because you think its cool to drive stick...
if i were to get another car and had 3k to spend... i would get like a 92 sc400 those are bad *** now if u can find one...
good handling.. good interior nuttin rattles like a 240sx... and you can have nice *** rims... so much room for any 5 lug in there... system will forsure sound alot better... and its way faster....
go with a auto first then learn how to maintain cars... and then move on to what you think you would like more...
if your 16.... i bet you dont even know how to drive stick yet... your going to mess up your clutch in a week. i'v seen it done before haha
nice ****, and tire smell haha
and also all s13 have a hole in there driver seat haha
all the bushings should be bad
fluids could b leaking...
speakers are all blown
plastic rattling some where when driven
read the post about
"you know you have a s13 when"
get a impreza haha awd is way better then them all haha

I purchased my 1991 a couple years ago, about 5 years ago, learned how to drive manual on that car and the clutch was still good till the day I sold it to my friend, which was about a year ago. Clutch was good when he had (he learned how to drive manual on the car as well at the same time I learned) and the clutch was still good all the way up until we ripped the engine out. So its not always true that if you don't know how to drive manual that you will blow the clutch.

I don't post very often, but I bought my 240 about a year and a half ago. I have had so many problems with leaks, belts, suspension components and tires. Well the tires were my fault. Ha ha ha. I paid about 3000 for mine and I think I've spent easily another 3k to get the car back to where it should be before I start to get serious with the engine work. I will purchase my first suspension components this month because I finally have enough money to do so. I'm 22 with a full time job. I don't think a 16 year old by him or herself has the resources. Now if mommy and daddy are helping that is a different story.

since you've liked the 240 for a long time, i say find one for sale and inquire about it. even if you're not going to buy it, take it for a test drive and see how fun it is to drive. a 1993 240 is a 12 yr old car and so it's gonna have it's share of problems- most of them have been stated above.
if you like it so much then yeah go ahead and get one. don't do it because we tell you to get one or others tell you to get a different car. buy a 240 for yourself and not for anyone else. YOU are the one going to be driving it, not us. but if you're getting one to be cool.....then get something else.
