I know miatas are good sleeper cars if you throw a jrsc in there and boost it up. Dunno about turbos but im sure its been done plenty of times. they only weigh 2400lb so the power to weight ratio is super with forced induction.

Sleeper car= car on the street, that if you saw it and it wanted to race you, you would automatically think that it was slow, until it handed you your ***!...opposite of seeing a Z06 or Viper R/T.

anywyas about the Miata's...JRSC IMO is the way to go...I new a guy here in town that frequently went to the track with me and he had a GReddy turbo kit @ 9psi and a 50 shot of happy juice...the best he ran here @ 5500 ft elevation was a 14.5 sec or so...I was very close behind him with my Civic Si w/ JRSC 6 psi and other mods which ran 14.9 sec....needless to say I thought for that kind of car and the kind of setup he had, his numbers were VERY unimpressive...and from what I here JRSC 6 psi Miatas are easily breaking into the 13's with good tuning...so I would do the Miata JRSC if I was you...

my .02

You should learn how to spell miata before you buy one.

I would like a Miata for Autocross. They look like a fun car to drive.

I would go for more suspension then power. There are many sites for spec miatas. Try:

www.grassrootsmotorsports.com

They should have some links.

I don't know how far I will be able to take my car with it being street driven but I can't wait to jump to the full blown project car.
