Is it possible to swap a 240/260/280z engine into the 240sx?

I was wondering if it is possible to install 240/260/280z engine's in to the 240sx since RB swaps are possible? If so does any one have any pics I am very interested.

that would be pretty unique.but why? im sorry but ive not seen some hooked up L engines.but that would be cool! old school 240 engine in a new school 240. think of the names magazines would give it if it was done right!

well... anything can be done given the right amt. of $$$, but I'm pretty sure there's a law prohibiting installation of engines into cars that are of a newer model year than what the engine was originally in...

No this car would be strictly for track only. Registering for the scca on Feb 12. Found a beater 89 240 for $500 with salvaged title. Love the L series, takes me back to when I did my first 510. Although a 240sx doesn't come close to a 510 with an all independent wishbone suspension. The body style of the 510 is much lighter, you can drift all day. I liked ripping out the high beams to install the ram air, for little beaters, I fell in love with Nissan specifically for that ride.
I can get a semi running 280z engine and tranny for another $500 at a wrecking yard.
I want to see pic's if anyone has them so I can predetermine the difficulty of the install.
I don't believe the difficulty should be to hard, the s13 chassi I believe was made way back since the 1980 280zxturbo.
