yea well i could find sr parts pretty easy cause everyone has a sr in there 240. but no offense i am sick of seeing sr20's in every 240 that pops the hood. i like sr's alot and i know millions have done the rb swaps as well but the ratio of rb to sr swaps in 240s is like 1 out of every 10 or 15 has a rb. but we will see what i do i am going to think on it for a week or so before i officially decide.

You should think it very carefully man.Have you consider a ls1?there like 80 pounds lighter then rbs.To find a r33 Front cross is not going to be easy.
You can use megans for the rear with out a swaybar.Works for me on suspension. But the front will have to be a custom way.I learned to drift with rbs so I find it strange when I use my bodys 180 with a ka.
Now if it was up to me I will choose the rb26 in rb swaps.cheaper in the long run to build then anyother rb.RB25s and RB20s are more expencive to build.
I would consider also a v8
Cheap and lots of fun to.
Good luck man

if i swap anything it will be another nissan motor. i am tryin to figure out which motor i want but with the rb25 i could get mounts to work with my s13 crossmember from mckinney motorsports. but a v8 is not my style. but who knows i may end up putting another ka in for now and then later on swap a rb in when i can afford all the parts when something goes wrong. but the problem still lays to find a ka lol

anyone know why i would need to send my ka harness and rb harness to mckinney to make a plug and play? is this for the cluster or for the actually swap itself to work

it said something about splicing them together like its you use the stock ka ecu and get it chipped and tuned but i have no idea. and it costs like 400 for a rb26 swap and 350 for the 25

Ahhh...I believe they would splice the RB harness into your KA harness so that it will be a plug and play. You could do it yourself if you knew which wires to splice in and know how to properly splice wires. I'm an aircraft electrician, so I would have no problem doing it if I knew what wires get spliced. (and by all means I'm not saying I'm superior to other people) And no, you should not use normal butt connectors. Solder and shrink wrap is the way I would do it.

Carl h at nico club his the wire boy.You should look for him.You should get a rb26det motor and a rb25det tranny. But the rb25det will do the job.But if you want to build it up its going to cost alot more then a rb26.

lol um ls1 is alot more then 80lbs lighter then a RB more around 350lbs lighter. rb is around 750lbs, SR is around 450lbs, ls1 weighs about 400lbs

i didn't say it wasn't lighter i just said its not my style. i much rather keep a nissan motor in the 240, if i swap it and decide its to heavy for my drift setup then i may go with a ls1 but i highly doubt it since i am not much on a v8 in a import

Wow, I didn't think S-Chassis had the RB engine fanboys . . .Adam, let him do what he wants it's his car.

Oh, and on a side note, MANY Japanese and European cars are sold with V8 engines, so I don't know what you're talking about V8 into an Import. You mean you don't like powerful engines in a slow car? Okay.
