Just run 5 or 10w-30 oil and as far as the idle it could be lots of thing, check to see if ur throttle cable is sticking or your maf could be reading wrong, air/fuel could be wrong....a multitude of things really could cause a high idle...

you can unplug the TPS sensor, start your car, adjust the idle screw till its about 700rpms, turn off the car, plug the tps sensor back in... should be good to go.. go buy a book for your car, it helps a lot... plus searching the forums and internet works too.

what year is your 240? Is it SOHC or DOHC motor.. the TPS connects to the throttle body which is connected to the intake manifold... its a little black box looking thing attached with two screws.

here's a pic for the DOHC.. the arrow is pointing to the connector..

and for the SOHC, it's the little black box, you just follow the wire and there should be a connector you unplug...

... it has to be there, it's what tells the computer how much throttle you're giving it.. It's connected on the right of the throttle body.. get a book for your car, they help lots.
