Which SR20?

There's not too much difference between the JDM and US SR20DE installed in the front wheel drive Sentra and G20.

But, there was never a RWD SR20 motor sold in any car in the US. There was also never an SR20DET (turbo) motor sold in any configuration (FWD/RWD/AWD) in the US.

So every SR20DET in the US was imported from someplace where the motor was installed as original equipment - usually Japan. The same goes for any RWD configured SR20DE.

It was turbo boro? Other then the 300Z I didn't think anything else Nissan brought over here was turbo.

Also some other differences between the USDM and JDM SR's would have to do with the placement of some of the components. I'm not sure which ones they are, i.e. alternator, AC compressor, etc. But I'm sure one or two components are located on the opposite side of the block. This in part to the firewall being in the way on a tranverse mounted SR.

so all that good stuff off of toda racing would work on a G20? just adding a turbo wouldn't be the same though... would it? the compression ratio would be different and so on... if i could get a red top bluebird engine into a g20 it would be all set to boost it up. check out this stuff, tell me if u think it would work in a US spec sr20de motor found in 99-00 G20.... http://www.todaracing.com/products/n...camshafts.html

I'm not about those cams drift. Theoretically they should work, but I don't know for sure. Basically, the SR came in the:

Sentra
G20
200SX (95-whenever)

Yes a Bluebird GT-i motor will fit right into a G20, as it will fit into a Sentra or 200SX. I wish some of the Sentra owners would hop onto this topic and clarify some things. I've been to a few of there meets and they roll deep with tons of different setups. From Bluebirds to custom turbo apps. on their Sentra's and 200SX's. If you've seen a turboed Honda or Eclipse, then you know what a Sentra, 200SX, G20 engine bay would look like. Just get a turbo mani with a nice turbo, run some IC plumbing and the works. Your all set.

We also got the E15iT in the 1st generation Pulsar NX (83-85). Unfortunately, the only trans choice was a 3spd auto.

Basically on the sentra and 200sx it only came in the SE(-R) trim. Oh and don't forget my favorite the NX2000.
