is this your first FR car?? if so i would recommend learning the car inside out before you look at power gains.. also you want to address footwork ( brakes etc) suspension etc before adding power.

the only cheap power is the removing of any parts that you dont care for such as A/C, power steering, clutch fan etc.. but everyone has their
limits and many people don't understand that modification means you will get rid of somethings that makes your car less comfortable etc.

first thing you should start with is a full tune up

imma go with spence on this one, and say that exhaust is a nice one, a really cheap mod is a high flow air filter, hella cheap and is up to 5or 7 percent increase in power.

just do a little cheap ebay intake or just filter and adapter, ss autochrome exhaust, and a header that would still probly come up to about 500 or less and what type of info do you need about the brake, how to do them?

- brakes should be done before ANYTHING, a faster car is pointless if it can't stop.
- bigVinnie had a "200hp for less than $1000" thread, seriously man,

factory brakes work fine with new pads and resurfaced rotors, if you upgrade to z32 brakes do the rear conversion too, it really throws off the brake balance and you will have no trail braking.

I agree with all the other guys here, first perform a full tune-up and make sure everything is up to par and functioning to its fullest. Then you could do some of the basics of "tuning" I.E. exhaust system, Air intake, and bolt-ons like cams are always good starting points.

....and since we are on the topic of proper spelling, Spence in your initial post the word "editted" was spelled incorrect. It should be spelled as edited, single t. hahahahaha you are still Numero Uno Broski!

yeah I agree with Spence on that, Im not a major fan of the Haynes manuals.
The PDF FSMs are free and always better.
