Last night I get a knock at the door at 3:30am. I open up to a police officer telling me a drunk driver hit my 93 nissan 240 fastback that was parked in front of my house. I immediatly started yelling as I gazed upon the carnage of his twisted honda accord around my 240. The officer told me he was very intoxicated. He smarshed my hood, bumper and fenders, as well as smashed my radiator up and air intake from what i can tell at night, My wheels were not damaged at all, I only got them about a month ago.

I plan on suing the insurance company because i won't accept just blue book value, it was aggrivated circumstances and for the work i put into the car, it was worth more than that to me. I have already started to look at new 240's, i plan on importing one from japan (180sx) so i don't have to mess with sr swap or painting it (found one in black)

O well, if anyone has any advice on how to deal with insurance or what not, lemme know, just to warn everyone, dont park on the street if at all possible, this was a 2 lane street with enough room for 4 cars side by side, and he plowed through me sending my car (which was in gear with the e-brake on) 60 feet in front of my neighbors house.

Sorry to hear about your loss, but I hate to give you more bad news. You CAN'T import a 180SX to drive legally. You can only convert a 240SX to a JDM style.

 

Thats ****ed up if I was that cop I woulda let you beat the **** out of the other guy for a minute.

 

Damn that sucks man! Thats sickening! Hope everything works out ok and you find an even sicker 180!

i feel your pain man.... about 2 weeks ago my mom came in and asked me if i got into a wreck. She said my cars front left fender was all smashed up. It seems that sometime during the night some one wrecked into my car in front my house .... i walked outside and saw the damage.... I dont think i have ever been so mad....

 

Damn. I had just about the same thing happen to my old accord. An old lady on pain killers crashed into my car when I was hanging out at my friends house. We heard a loud crash,but thought it was my cousin's el camino door slamming (we avoid him at all costs) and then there was a knock at the door. We didn't answere it, and soon the cops were like, 'is anyone in there' so I answered. Sure enough, my car was in shambles across the street. That car bluebooked for like 1600, but I got 2400 out of it, and sold my wheels for 700, bought the car back, and sold it for 500 as a parts car. Worked out great, I'm sure this will all work out for you man. Sorry to hear about it though, it's never fun to lose a car you are attached to, even if you get reimbersed for it, it's still important to you.
