ka24det crate engine?

I was wondering if anyone aruond here knows where to find either crate Ka24de or (preferably) ka24de-t crate engines? I need quality engines. I want a good company. Also, i would prefer something affordable (not cheap).

I've done some searching, and so far i have found oe company that seems to be pretty good, Top Hat Performance.

I was always thinking about building my ka24e n/a ... but its old and tired. ... that and the un-waivering power of the turbo is calling.

Any help would be great, thanks guys!

Why not build an engine yourself? Buying a pre-built engine seems like it would take alot of the fun out of the whole thing.

at least when you order it online you don't have to worry if your engine has a crack or some other major thing wrong. also their isn't as much down time. you can add to the new engine while still using the old one.

I have only good things to say about Top Hat. They are the only shop in Atlanta that I would trust my car too. Excellent service.

When it comes to KA-T, Top Hat Performance has to be one of the best.

If you got the time, space to work, patience, etc. It would def be awesome to build it up yourself.

Are you shure about that? Ivan is the manager at AMS and builds the KA-t's. I've heard that the work at AMS is much more for custom applications. Although the AMS will probably be a bit more expensive they still cover under warrantee.

thanks guys!

As far as doing it myself, i don't have the patience, know-how, space, or the time to do it.

I like to do most of my own stuff, but certain major things, i simply cannot do. In the future, i do plan to build a car completely by myself.

Hmm, only thing i need to reasearch now is the ka24e to ka24de swap in my '89 S13. Not sure about the way it mounts, harness, etc.

Mounts exactly the same, I'm sure theres a thread or two on it somewhere, pretty easy swap.
