I still dont have my 240 running. I need serious help.

I've replaced and bought over $1500 in parts to just get it running but I can't figure out what in the he11 is wrong wit it. It's a 1989 240sx se 5 speed. This is an emergency. ka24e. If i can't get it running i might just buy a domestic car. Like a 2dr cavalier!

Whats the problem? Could be anything from the muffler bearings to the tailight fluid.

Arrow

Start with everything thats electric on the car ,Battery,Alternator,Starter,Ground Wires,Turn on switch,Relays,ECU,MAF,Spark Plugs and Wires and then go from there ,Ignition Timing,Fuel pump etc..let us know and try to tell use what has been replace on the car already so we get a better idea of what can be the problem-NEO

i know what your problem is....it is cause your motor is not on TDC (top dead center) that cause your car to run like that ....all of the point of the crank pulley, etc.it has to be lined up right look in the factory manual like clinton....the same problem happened to me before in my ka24d i fixed it androve it for a year now i have a 350+ SR20DET............................

If I went to a shop and they told me all i needed to do was rotate my engine to TDC I would leave with the quickness. Think about it... doesnt the engine hit TDC every time you crank it over? Once every 720 degrees? Now, if you had said put it at TDC and check your timing chain and distributor alignment, I would buy that, cause the timing could be a tooth or two off. But simply putting the engine at TDC wont do jack.

Ok ,I guess u mean that one of the piston has to be speficically in TDC for his engine to start not the all engine as a while right? Coz to me that dont make any sense.

yes, it does i 've been thru that problem...of course a shop will never tall what's really going on cuz they'll lose money.......
this is mine second time running in this problem..my old dx 90,hatchback (with lsR,lsd, all bolt ons.skykline fuel pump,R32 taillight conversion)had that problem . I ask so many people but they've could not fixed it...untill i called a motorsport store they said to bring it over...i 'd drove my car like that..it died ever time i come to a stop,i'd had to start the car..the shop could not find the problem 4 a week...finally they called me to pick up my car,i did and ask them what was wrong they said it took em long cuz they could not figure it out 4 a while..thay had to call someone in they called someone in it took him 2 days to find out it was that.. they' d said it was not on tdc so as the crank pulley and oil pump...i'd said i've could of done that myself..i've got charged almost a $1000 for them doing that.....business...................
