Exclamation !!!I ran over a beaver and now car wont start!!!

I was driving at night in the backcountry going about 40 or 50 mph. out of nowhere, i hit a large object (a really hard hit). i thought at first it was a tire or a big brick left in the road. going back i see a large beaver laying there, about the size of a medium height dog. it was a hard enough hit that it knocked out boath of my side blinkers. my car is lowerd with rims and low profile tires, which made it alot worse i think. the beaver also managed to bend up a portion of my fender. Anyway to the main problem..... My car drives home fine( hour and a half drive), trying to start it the next morning dosent work so well... it turns over strong but dosent catch. kind of puzzled. Anyone else get a hard hit and no go the next day?

hmmmm.... mabey it could just a be a coincidence and your car just stopped running on its own the only thing that i know thats on the bottom of the car that might of got messed is the power steering but that wouldnt stop your car from starting. well check fuel and spark first, your basics.

Man thats kinda weird. yeah i would check fuel and spark first. by the way it sounds i would think it is probably the spark maybe a bad coil.

is it possible that some kind of relay, switch, or fuse went out and only deals with starting and not with keeping it running? any come to mind?

The beaver got in a bite before it died (god rest his soul).

Please tell me that you at least took him home and ate him so that he didn't die in vain.

I just hit a racoon last night, those damn country animals think just because there is light its time to cross the road. anyway, i turned around to see if it was in the road but there was no road kill to be found. My car started right up this morning though! lol
