my steering is making this weird noise, and the mechanic told me that i need the hoses that go to the power steering pump and i also need the steering pump. he wants to charge 500 for the pump...i was wondering if i can find a pump for a cheaper price.
please help me!!!

 

Ebay or the junkyard...ftw! I went to the junkyard this weekend and pulled the front swaybar endlinks, the plastic shift boot trim thingy and the big power steering pump hose all for $10. The only problems with junkyard stuff is making sure its in good shape...sometimes just looking good isn't enough...it can be a crap shoot. And sometimes it's a ***** to yank some of the stuff off.
