hey guys~

I was wondering if somebody could tell me how effective silencers would be on a Apexi N1 dual tip exhaust? I just got ticketed by a cop while I was on my way to get my inspection. Then the cop made me pay to have my car towed to the inspection station because I had a rejected sticker. And then my car didn't pass because my exhaust was too loud... bad day bad day. Any ideas guys?

 

oh 'n' yeah I searched the subject but didn't find any definitive answers...

 

silencers have ALWAYS helped in my case.

They hurt performance like a stock muffler, but should help you pass.

hmm... well just in case anybody else wanted to know,

the silencers make a pretty big difference so long as you're not under full or heavy throttle. below 3K rpm under normal acceleration the exhaust sounds are much more muffled and not nearly as loud... car definitely feels slower though w/silencers on.

 

see on the other hand i ahte my silencer. to me it didnt make any difference in sound or power. again, it could just be me. i have only used it once though

 

wait, are we still talking about the same exhaust? N1 dual? rumor has it the n1 single is loud as **** no matter what...

 

I have an N1 single. NO silencer, and it's not terrible at all.

Sounds nice. Kinda loud, but not horrible.

The real key its to get the REAL apex-i. The knockoffs sound like pure a s s!
