Exclamation Hooks under rear bumber!

Just a quick question. I was wondering what the hooks are for under the rear bumper and how they can be removed. Please give me an answer.

All vehicles come with those from factory, thats how they transported them and kept them secure on the trucks.

keep them, if for some reason you need to get towed home on a flatbed you'll be glad that they strap to that instead of something else

don't worry about these ****
take that **** off
the hook its self is attached to the bumper support you neeed to remover the bumper and you'll see a huge chunk of metal it has 4 bolts holding it to the car you can get to those from the trunk

it's a tow point on several cars... but not on all. you can use them to hold a car down on a truck on all cars but it's not always a good tow spot... i.e BMW's

There is no huge benefit to taking them off, but there is a significant benifit to leaving them on, when the time comes where you need them

Some exhaust might need to have the tow hook cut off (i.e. gp sports) in order to fit. You can always install new ones or just use the one?

I do understand the importance of these hooks however, I'd like to remove the one near the exhaust. Will this completely ruin towability?

You can remove it and be fine, like phreze said some exhausts require you to cut the tow hook off. It won't completely ruin towablity, just might make it more difficult if you ever end up in a ditch

hmm lets see
lose bumper support around 40 pounds
put tow strap some where else

i don't see a problem
i have been pulled out of sand and have been on 3 tow trucks without it
man up
