hatch squeak

Anyone had the problem of a really annoying/high squeaking sound coming from (I'm guessing) the hatch? It doesn't quite happen all the time, it usually develops after about 2-5 minutes of driving but almost always develops, and just makes a really loud squeak or rattle from the rear, what seems to be the drivers side, of I'm guessing the hatch. It does it over bumps, or any sort of jostling (my tired old KA makes the car shake like a **** at idle, even this is enough). I've lubed the hell out of the two top joints, the latch at the bottom, and both attachment points for both lifts.

Any other suggestions?

I used to have a squeak from the rear like you described. Used to only happen after driving for a while. Turned out one of the exhaust hangars was rubbing off some metal. It would only happen after driving because after the exhaust was heated it must have expanded enough to make this hanger move towards the rear hitting some sheet metal. When the exhaust was cool I never had a problem.

Don't know if this is you're problem but thought I would offer the problem I had. Hope you get it fixed, squeaks can drive you nuts!!!
