Funny noise over 3000rpm
Ok, after I changed to GT28R and walbor fuel pump my 180SX started making this new noise.
Well, it's a very noticeable noise when you are inside the car, when you are in the driverseat, it sounds like it is coming from where the dash meets the windshield right in front of you. It's sounds kind of like the noise coming from the vents under the windshield, but it kind of has a pulse to it, and it speeds up as my rpm rises. I tried shutting off the a/c and fan but the noise is still there. The noise would be less or gone eventually if you lift off your foot from the throttle, it does not sound like an engine noise, as you couldn't hear the same noise under the hood. When I pop the hood, it's very hard to hear from the outside. However, you can hear it on the road everytime you rev pass 3K and up. I haven't noticed any of my accessories suffering. I've been driving with it like this for the past 2 weeks or so. Does anyone have an idea as to what this could be? I don't think it's the engine, I think it's an accessory or something... It doesn't change at all when I screw around with the air/heat, etc. It's really annoying and very apparent while driving.
Any help/suggestions will be appreciated!
